The Schweinebraten I ordered was simply excellent - tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The accompanying side dishes complemented the dish beautifully, and the portion size was generous.
The beer selection was impressive, and I must say, the brews were super tasty. They perfectly complemented the flavors of the food and added to the overall dining experience.
Speaking of food, the Asparagus Cordon Bleu was another winner. It was a delightful twist on a classic dish, and the flavors were superb. The asparagus was cooked just right, and the cheese and ham filling inside the crispy breaded chicken was simply mouthwatering.
The restaurant has a lovely Biergarten on Linz, and what a delightful spot it is! The ambiance was charming, and it was a pleasure to dine in such a beautiful setting. Plus, it's conveniently located near Hauptplatz, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors.
The service at this restaurant deserves a special mention. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. They made sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in, and our orders arrived surprisingly quickly. We truly appreciated the prompt service without feeling rushed.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good dining experience. The excellent Schweinebraten, super beer, and tasty Asparagus Cordon Bleu will leave you satisfied, and the Biergarten provides a lovely atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Don't miss out on this gem!
Everything was in place. I mostly enjoyed the dessert. The food was good, the service was nice, but there is still a lot of competition on the market. I think it's very hard for restaurants sometimes to stay competitive and keep the clients coming back.
Great quality of food and very friendly staff. Could have a few more items to choose from and they don’t accept card payments - which is not acceptable in 2023.
Great traditional Austrian Wirtshaus in Linz!
The menu is concise, but has everything it needs. I ordered a schnitzel, which came with potatoes, a salad and a side of Preiselbeeren. Everything tasted fresh, delicious and the pint of Linzer beer from the nearby brewery paired quite nicely. And even though I was there during the lunch rush, the service was friendly and fast.
The only down side to my entire visit: I was seated near the back door. This usually wouldn't be a problem but over the course of the visit, at least 4 people came through and smoked cigarettes outside right next to the back door. Each time the smoke filtered inside and permeated the entire back room. Rather unpleasant as a non smoker.
Wonderful staff, a really cosy and nice place. The food was so incredible and portions were really big. Highly recommend the apple strudel, absolutely delicious.
Fine restaurant in a old courtyard whit columns , courtesy and fine fresh food, delicious wiener snitzel, hightly recommended for a intimate dinner with typical autrian cuisine. Rally The best in the city.speak also french, italian and english.
Absolutely delicious food in a friendly and warm environment. Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent small selection of local dishes at a great price. The strudel is absolutely amazing.
Food can be considered a little bit too salty, but very high quality. Portion sizes are okay. The staff is friendly and speaks basic English. The menu is also available in English.
Very authentic Austrian kitchen. Beer is superb, ask for recommendations on which one to choose. 👍👍👍
Good experience, go dine in here hehe!
